Outreach

God's power changes lives. Corporately as a church, we obey His Great Commission by reaching out with God's love to others. Anywhere in the world, the faithfulness of one individual can make a difference.

Contact Fellowship to learn more about our missions and how you can support this important work.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.  Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 'This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.'"  Matthew 22:37-39

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.  I John 1:3-4

Holiday Military Care Packages

Here is a great idea to help out our military during the Holiday Season!

Dallas Speight, Director of Pastoral Care, Counseling and Chaplaincy for the Colorado Baptists has asked for some of our churches to respond to a need to support some of our military personnel deployed to the Middle East.  Todd Fallin, Dallas and Sheila's son-in-law is currently deployed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt with over 4500 Sailors; however, in Todd's squadron are 200 Sailors (180 men and 20 women).

The holiday season provides a great opportunity for some of our churches to share Christ's love by providing these 200 Sailors Care Packages. Our hope is to get 20 churches on board to collect, assemble and mail 10 packages each.

If you would like to help, contact Kris Cockerham at kcockerham@cbgc.org or call (888)771-2480 ext 228.   A list of names and mailing addresses will be provided at that time.

The largest flat-rate box, weighing less than 70 lbs., costs $10.95 to ship to an APO or FPO address. That's a $2 discount, and the boxes are free at your local US Post Offices.

When shipping holiday packages, there are some basic guidelines. If a USPS-provided box isn't being used, senders should make sure the box they're using is sturdy. Don't use wrapping paper or string on the outside, and print both the shipping and return addresses clearly. Contents should be packaged securely and in leak-proof containers, and consider the customs of the country to ensure the items are appropriate and acceptable.  PORK PRODUCTS CANNOT BE MAILED.
